We are pleased to announce that our brand new Line Cook Training Program has been successfully completed by its first class of trainees.
The program consists of an eight week course dedicated to teaching participants the fundamentals of restaurant cooking, and the skills necessary to secure employment as a line cook.
At the end of the eighth week, the class prepared a special pre fixe menu for donors and employer partners of The Doe Fund. Each trainee was assigned their own menu item and presented it to the guests as it was served. The guests were all impressed by the dishes, in terms of both taste and presentation.
Chef Justin Fertitta, instructor of the program, and the Food Services staff who assisted were offered enormous thanks and appreciation by the trainees, who were all grateful for the opportunity and will apply the skills they learned to their search for jobs in the restaurant industry.
We eagerly await the next session of the Line Cook Training and look forward to sharing updates soon!
