We are thrilled to announce that The Doe Fund’s Culinary Arts program has received a five year extension of certification as an American Culinary Federation (ACF) Education Foundation Quality Program.
Prior to granting this extension, the ACF inspected all three Ready, Willing & Able kitchens, reviewed our full culinary training curriculum, andACFEF Quality Program Certificate of completion. observed a class led by our staff instructor, in this case a lesson on vegetarian cooking.
Among the recipes presented in the class was our Braised Coconut Spinach & Chickpeas with Lemon, an original recipe developed by former program graduate and veteran staff member Daniel Djoro.
Trainees prepared the dish under the direction of our staff instructor, and the ACF was given the opportunity to taste it. We are pleased to report that they found it outstanding and were enthusiastic about the overall lesson.
In fact, they were so impressed with the program that, in addition to an ACFEF Quality Program Certificate, they will now automatically grant all graduates of the training 10 Continuing Education Hours. These credits can be applied toward future advanced culinary certifications, enabling further professional growth.
We are extremely proud of this recognition and the doors it will open for our trainees as they work to advance their careers!
